Arrested in Pontianak, Drug Dealer Boy from Ko Erwin's Network Caught
Police arrested A Hamid, also known as Boy, in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Boy operates as part of the narcotics distribution network of Erwin Iskandar, alias Ko Erwin.
The arrest was conducted by a combined team from Directorate IV for Drug-Related Crime (Dittipid) of the National Police Headquarters (Bareskrim) along with the Narcotic Investigation Center (NIC) Task Force, led by Senior Commissioner Handik Zusen and Senior Commissioner Kevin Leleury.
“The combined team successfully apprehended Abdul Hamid, alias Boy, who acted as a narcotics distributor within Erwin Iskandar’s network in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) region,” stated Senior Commissioner Kevin Leleury in a statement on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
Leleury explained that Boy was captured whilst fleeing in the Pontianak area. “The suspect was apprehended at a rented house in Pontianak City, West Kalimantan, after previously fleeing from Bima, NTB, to evade law enforcement proceedings,” Leleury stated.
According to Leleury, this arrest resulted from intensive investigations by the combined team, which successfully identified the suspect’s hiding location. Boy was immediately brought to Bareskrim Polri for further questioning.
“Currently, the suspect has been secured at the National Police Headquarters’ Directorate for Drug-Related Crime office for examination and further investigation,” Leleury said.
Nevertheless, Leleury assured that the team continues to thoroughly investigate and pursue other individuals involved in this case, including a person known as “The Doctor.”
“Who is strongly suspected of being the principal controller within the narcotics distribution network,” he continued.
Police had placed Boy on the wanted list (DPO) shortly after Ko Erwin was successfully arrested. In addition to Boy, police are also pursuing an individual named Satriawan, who is believed to be involved in the network.
It is known that A Hamid, alias Boy, provided 1.8 billion rupiah as a form of attention money to the former Police Chief of Bima City AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro through the former Narcotics Unit Head of Bima City Police AKP Malaungi. The money was handed over at Uma Lengge (a traditional Bima house) located within the Bima City Police headquarters compound.
Both Malaungi and Didik have been designated as suspects and have received dismissal sanctions without honour (PTDH) from the National Police.
