A total of 90 neighbourhood units (RT) and six road segments were affected by flooding in Jakarta as of 09:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB) on Friday, 20 February 2026. The flooding disrupted residents’ activities at a number of locations, particularly along road segments that are typically congested with traffic.

Head of the Disaster Data and Information Centre at the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Mohamad Yohan, said the flooding was caused by heavy rainfall accompanied by the overflow of several rivers in the capital, including Kali Angke, Kali Pesanggrahan, Kali Krukut, and Kali Uangan.

“Currently there are 90 RT and six road segments inundated,” he said on Friday, 20 February 2026.

In West Jakarta, flooding occurred in seven RT. These included three RT in Kedaung Kali Angke with water levels of approximately 30 centimetres, one RT in Rawa Buaya with water reaching 70 centimetres, and three RT in Kembangan Selatan with water levels of around 40 centimetres.

Flooding in South Jakarta affected 83 RT. These included one RT in Cilandak Barat with water levels of 30 centimetres, one RT in Pondok Labu with water levels of 50 centimetres, and three RT in Cipete Utara with water levels reaching nearly one metre.
