Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has prepared offline-based Academic Ability Test (TKA) questions to anticipate limitations in internet networks and information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure in 3T areas. Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu’ti stated that they have prepared TKA questions in offline mode without requiring an internet connection, so schools only need to install them on the respective computers used for taking the test. “Yes, we have anticipated everything. And these questions do not have to be online-based. So there are computer-based questions, but they do not need to be downloaded. Because in areas without internet access, we prepare questions that are already installed on each computer,” said Mendikdasmen Mu’ti in Tangerang Regency, Banten Province, on Monday. He emphasised that the implementation of TKA for primary and secondary schools remains computer-based, similar to the TKA for high school level last year, to prevent cheating. For schools that do not have computer lab facilities, they have already mapped them and directed them to use facilities at other schools with adequate computer labs. This sharing mechanism, said Mu’ti, does not have to be at the same school level, so SMP-level TKA participants can share with the nearest high schools or primary schools that have computer labs. “So there is no problem. Those without computer labs can share with other schools. And the sharing does not have to be at the same level because the schedules do not overlap. So now SMP can also share with primary and high schools, which we have prepared well in advance,” he added. For information, the first day of TKA for secondary school level tests mathematics and numeracy subjects with 30 questions and a completion time of 75 minutes. After completing the mathematics and numeracy subjects, participants will take a character survey for 20 minutes.
