PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is anticipating a surge in vehicles during the 2026 Eid return flow by implementing toll discounts of up to 30%. This policy applies to continuous journeys from Kalikangkung Toll Gate on the Batang-Semarang section to Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek section, from 26 March 2026 at 00:00 WIB until 27 March 2026 at 24:00 WIB. The initiative is intended to help distribute traffic more evenly while providing relief to road users.

“To anticipate the increase in vehicle volume during the return flow, JTT will once again apply a 30% toll discount,” said Corporate Secretary & Legal PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, in an official statement on Monday (23/3).

Additionally, a 23% toll discount for all transactions on the Batang-Semarang toll road remains in effect from 12 March to 31 March 2026. Ria stated that the policy is expected to help distribute traffic more evenly while providing direct benefits to road users.

JTT recorded high mobility during the Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026 outbound flow towards eastern Trans Java regions. From H-10 to H+1 of Eid (11-22 March 2026), 790,791 vehicles were recorded passing eastbound through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. This figure represents a significant increase of 129.84% compared to normal traffic of 344,067 vehicles, indicating high public movement even into H+1 of Eid.

In line with this high mobility, JTT has prepared various strategic measures to ensure smooth and comfortable travel for road users facing the return flow. Based on daily traffic data on 22 March 2026, 61,159 vehicles were recorded heading east on Trans Java, an increase of 128.10% compared to normal traffic of 26,812 vehicles.

Meanwhile, for the opposite direction, from eastern Trans Java to Jakarta, 38,841 vehicles were recorded, up 7.25% from normal traffic of 36,214 vehicles. This data shows that return flow movement is beginning to appear.

“To anticipate the increase in vehicle volume, Cikampek Utama Toll Gate is currently operating 22 toll booths towards Jakarta to ensure smooth transactions,” Ria explained.

Vehicles from eastern Trans Java to Jakarta via Cikampek Utama Toll Gate from H-10 to H+1 totalled 232,380, a decrease of 31.49% compared to normal traffic of 339,198 vehicles.

Vehicle volume increases also occurred on several toll roads managed by JTT Group in Central Java and East Java. Vehicles heading to Semarang totalled 442,392, up 127.06% from normal 194,834 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Semarang totalled 156,041, down 14.71% from normal 182,951 vehicles.

Traffic to Solo totalled 502,702 vehicles, up 81.03% from normal 277,696 vehicles. Meanwhile, towards Jakarta, it reached 212,187 vehicles, down 5.01% from normal 223,376 vehicles.

Vehicles to Surabaya totalled 288,201, up 18.73% from normal 242,740 vehicles, while towards Jakarta, it reached 313,923 vehicles, up 37.58% from normal 228,174 vehicles.

318,617 vehicles were recorded heading to Malang, up 12.64% from normal 282,857 vehicles, and 305,776 vehicles to Surabaya, up 1.87% from normal 300,158 vehicles. Meanwhile, other vehicles to Malang totalled 170,386, up 4.63% from normal 162,843 vehicles, and towards Surabaya, 160,248 vehicles, up 4.36% from normal 153,556 vehicles.

JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to prioritise safety, plan journeys well, ensure vehicle and driver conditions are optimal, and confirm sufficient fuel and electronic money balance before travelling. (H-4)
