Another protest against alcohol

BOGOR, West Java (JP): A group Bogor Moslem students calling themselves "youth and student communication forum" protested the proposed nation-wide provincial decrees on alcohol distribution.

In the grounds of Masjid Raya (Grand Mosque), the protesters expressed their objections yesterday against the new decrees which they said would encourage people to drink more alcohol.

The students urged the government to ban all kinds of alcoholic drinks and cancel all permits to produce the "haram" (prohibited by Islam) drink.

They called on all Indonesians to give up the "evil" drink. (sur)
