Another Choice hotel

JAKARTA (JP): PT Choice Hotels Indonesia, the domestic
franchiser for Choice Hotels International, signed an agreement
yesterday with PT Karsindo Utama to manage its Quality Suites
Juanda building, Choice's 10th Indonesian hotel.

Under the agreement signed by Choice executives I.D. Manassa
and Karl Waeti and Karsindo executives Soedradjat and Soedarta,
Choice will manage the 16-story hotel here for 20 years.

"We join the Choice system because of its innovative marketing
programs and extensive reservation network," Soedradjat said.

Karsindo plans to build hotels in Bekasi, West Java, and
Grogol, West Jakarta, to be run by Choice.

Quality Suites Juanda, on Jl. Juanda I in Central Jakarta, is
expected to have 60 three-bedroom apartments when it opens early
1997.

Choice is managing or plans to manage 3,700 hotels in 40
countries under its Clarion, Quality, Comfort and Sleep brands.
