SINGAPORE (Reuter): U.S. company Anixter International Inc
said on Monday it is setting up centers in Southeast Asia to
offer information technology (IT) training.
Daphne Tham, Anixer's director of education services for the
Asia Pacific region, told Reuters the company hoped to set up
five or six centers in about two years' time.
The first center was set up in Malaysia in March this year.
Anixter signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday with the
Singapore section the Institute if Electrical and Electronics
Engineers (IEEE) to endorse its courses.
The IEEE promotes standardization and consults the American
National Standards Institute on matters related to electric and
electronic development.
