Angie/Vento-Kabchi into third round

JAKARTA: Angelique 'Angie' Widjaja of Indonesia made amends for
her singles' loss by advancing to the third round in the doubles
with Maria Vento-Kabchi of Argentina at the Wimbledon Open in
London on Saturday.

Angie and Vento-Kabchi defeated sixth seeds Jelena Dokic
(Yugoslavia) and Nadia Petrova (Russia) 6-3, 6-0. Angie's singles
run ended at the hands of Nadia in their second-round match on
Wednesday.

In the third round, Angie/Vento-Kabchi will meet Milagros
Sequera (Venezuela) / Mashona Washington (United States), the 7-6
(14/12), 6-7 (0/7), 6-2 winners over Emmanuelle Gagliardi
(Switzerland)/ Meghann Shaughnessy (United States). --JP
