Andre Rosiade Says Fuel Stocks at Petrol Stations Along Lebaran Exodus Routes Are Fully Prepared
The Indonesian House of Representatives’ Commission VI has assured that fuel stocks at public refuelling stations (SPBU) along the main Lebaran mudik routes for 2026 will be fully stocked. Andre Rosiade, Deputy Speaker of Commission VI from the Gerindra faction, said that the government, through Pertamina, has undertaken various measures to maintain the availability of BBM at points expected to experience consumption spikes. ‘Safe. So aside from looking at the tanks, we are also checking readiness; we have already received reports from Pertamina. Pertamina has ensured that all mudik route points are prepared; in addition to the post formed with the Police, Pertamina has prepared all SPBU to be fully stocked,’ Andre said when he was seen at the DPR Building on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Because the government together with Pertamina has prepared various scenarios to ensure energy distribution runs smoothly. ‘So in my view, the public need not worry; the government through Pertamina is very ready to supply BBM up to Lebaran and beyond. Our stock is safe, thank you,’ he added. Andre also noted that Commission VI has received reports from Pertamina that national BBM stocks are in a safe condition. ‘So we have received reports from Pertamina that our stocks are safe, yes. Not only up to Lebaran, but after Lebaran as well, because Pertamina’s ships are still running smoothly to transport BBM,’ he stressed. In addition, Andre said he had personally checked in his electoral district in West Sumatra to ensure BBM supply readiness. From these checks, he stated that the capacity of BBM storage tanks in the area was also in a safe condition. ‘I have also checked in West Sumatra, my electoral district, and the tanks are safe to reach Lebaran. I have just checked on the ground; it is safe up to Lebaran, and even a week after Lebaran it remains safe,’ he concluded. The condition reflects limited domestic storage facility capacity. ‘Why don’t we hold more than 25 days of supply? If we do, where would we store it? The storage capacity isn’t enough,’ said Bahlil Lahadalia at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
