Andra Soni Emphasises the Role of the Family in the Success of Development Programmes
Banten Governor Andra Soni stated that the family is the most basic organisation that must be a focus in every government policy. He assessed that the success of programmes greatly depends on the resilience of families as the smallest unit in society.
“Therefore, all policies and programmes will be implemented well if we have resilient families,” Andra Soni explained in a written statement on Wednesday (1/4/2026).
He conveyed this at the Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) for the Bangga Kencana Programme in Banten Province at the Governor’s Pendopo, KP3B Curug, Serang City, today.
Andra Soni said the Bangga Kencana Programme can be strengthened through cross-sector collaboration, including with the PKK Empowering Team, to improve family quality. According to him, this synergy is important, especially in fulfilling health services for pregnant women and strengthening family planning programmes.
“And I am convinced and believe that the most valuable asset is the family,” he stated.
He hopes that all stakeholders can strengthen coordination and collaboration in efforts to improve family welfare. He also emphasised the importance of direct implementation of programmes in the field to provide real impacts for society.
“May this coordination meeting be beneficial and impactful through field implementation,” he asserted.
Furthermore, Andra Soni explained various priority programmes such as Sekolah Rakyat, Koperasi Merah Putih, and Free Nutritious Meals (MBG), which fundamentally target families. Therefore, strengthening the role of the family is seen as the key to making these programmes effective and sustainable.
According to him, the MBG programme in Banten Province not only impacts the improvement of public nutrition but also drives regional economic growth. He said the existence of MBG kitchens serving millions of Banten residents will create a multiplier effect, including boosting the agriculture and livestock sectors.
“This programme must be guarded; the policy is already correct, and we will maintain and monitor its implementation together,” he added.
On that occasion, Andra Soni also invited all regents and mayors to strengthen coordination and collaboration in facing various future development challenges.
“No matter how heavy the challenges faced, we must be confident in overcoming them with strong coordination, solid collaboration, and patience in facing pressures,” he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy for Family Planning and Reproductive Health (KBKR) of the Ministry of Population Empowerment and Family Planning/National Population and Family Planning Board (Kemendukbangga/BKKBN) Wahidin said the Rakorda for the Bangga Kencana Programme is a step in synchronising programme implementation between the central and regional governments.
“This Rakorda is the initial step of a programme cycle. We start with coordination to ensure who does what so that everything is coordinated,” he explained.
He emphasised that the results of the Rakorda must be immediately followed up in the field. According to him, the current programme policy direction is also in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision, which emphasises strengthening human resources in facing the demographic bonus and heading towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
“We translate the vision focused on human resources, including through institutional transformation and support for priority programmes. We also assess that there are strategies for capitalising on the demographic bonus that must be addressed, including related to human resource investment, labour market, pension system, and one data,” he continued.
In his report, Acting Head of the BKKBN Representation for Banten Province, Yuda Ganda Putra, presented the achievements of the Bangga Kencana Programme implementation in Banten Province throughout 2025.
Various programmes showed good results, including from the population control aspect achieving a total fertility rate (TFR) of 1.97 against a standard of 2.01. Then, from the family development aspect through the family development index at 64.8, which is a very good value.
“Of course, this success is none other than the result of the orchestration by the Governor, Regents/Mayors, along with all working partners,” he clarified.
Yuda said the implementation of this Rakorda is also part of regulatory mandates as well as a forum to strengthen synergy. This Rakorda also serves as part of strengthening human resources in line with national policy directions.
“Alhamdulillah, Banten Province has successfully achieved 100 percent in preparing the Population Development Roadmap; hopefully, this coordination meeting can strengthen our initiatives in strengthening work programmes to serve the community in Banten Province,” he concluded.
As information, on that occasion, Banten Governor Andra Soni also received appreciation from Kemendukbangga/BKKBN for the Preparation of the Population Development Roadmap (PJPK) in Banten Province. Awards were also given to regional heads for the achievements of the Bangga Kencana programme implementation throughout 2025.
