Andalan Artha Primanusa Accelerates Coal and Nickel Mining Contractor Services
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Andalan Artha Primanusa continues to drive expansion in mining contractor services for coal and nickel, in line with the continued strength of the national mining industry’s prospects going forward.
“In the mining industry, what is most determining is not only resources, but consistency in field execution. Therefore, the role of contractors is becoming increasingly important in maintaining productivity and operational efficiency,” said PT Andalan Artha Primanusa’s President Director Gahari Christine in an official statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Gahari assured that the company is committed to maintaining operational quality by strengthening strategic partnerships, with a focus on providing end-to-end solutions, from the exploration phase, production, to the reclamation stage.
The company’s operations cover areas in South Sumatra, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, to East Halmahera, which are supported by strategic partnerships with Harum Energy Group, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), and Petrindo Group.
“The company currently manages several strategic operational contracts, including cooperation with PT Satria Bahana Sarana in the operational area of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA),” said Gahari.
Entering 2026, Gahari said the company will strengthen its position by securing various new contracts in the coal operational sector, including work from PT Daya Bumindo Karunia, PT Intan Bumi Persada, and PT Arkara Prathama Energi.
Since January 2026, the company has successfully diversified into the nickel industry, evidenced by obtaining a contract for the development and operation of mining together with PT Position in North Maluku.
According to Gahari, the solid prospects of the mining industry align with the running commodity transition and the massive downstreaming, making coal and nickel consumption continue to grow consistently as the main pillar of electricity generation needs and energy transition in Indonesia.
“Andalan now occupies a strategic position to take advantage of great opportunities and meet the needs of mining contractor services, both for the present and in the future,” said Gahari.
As per the Electricity Supply Business Plan Document (RUPTL) 2025-2034, national electricity demand is estimated to increase by 5.3 percent each year.
Meanwhile, Indonesia has dominated global nickel production by controlling 67 percent of the market share, and is projected to be able to control 74 percent of the market share by 2035.
In addition, projections for conventional energy remain stable amid the acceleration of the national downstreaming programme, with an annual growth rate (CAGR) of around eight percent, so that total global nickel production is estimated to reach 5.0 million metric tons by 2035.
