Jakarta — The National Alliance Against Zionism (ANAZ) has deemed the airstrikes targeting Tehran, Qom, Isfahan and Karaj in Iran as grave violations of the United Nations Charter and international law.

ANAZ Communications Chief Mukhlisin Turkan stated that attacks on city centres and densely populated areas constitute state terrorism intended to provoke major warfare to conceal Israel’s domestic failures.

“We declare full support for Iran’s right of self-defence as part of the global struggle against imperialism,” Mukhlisin said in a statement issued in Jakarta on Monday.

The UN Charter is the founding treaty of the United Nations, signed on 26 June 1945, comprising a preamble, 19 chapters and 111 articles. Its provisions establish the maintenance of international peace and security, the advancement of human rights, the guarantee of international justice, and the principle of equal sovereignty of states and the prohibition of the use of force.

Turkan expressed the view that silence in the face of crime constitutes betrayal of humanity, pledging solidarity with those defending their homeland.

He called on all segments of Indonesian society to strengthen solidarity and consistently voice opposition to all forms of oppression.

“ANAZ formally condemns the military aggression of the Israeli regime against the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he stated.

Earlier, Iranian local media, citing Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, reported that the death toll from airstrikes by the United States and Israel on a girls’ school in southern Iran reached approximately 160 people.

According to Xinhua, in a statement released by the Iranian Presidential Office on Saturday (28 February), Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the airstrikes, describing them as “inhumane.”

Pezeshkian also urged all relief and medical centres and relevant officials in the region to prioritise “immediate and uninterrupted care” for the wounded and their families by mobilising all available resources.
