Anambas Police Resort Deploys 110 Emergency Service to Assist Citizens During Homecoming Season
Natuna — The Anambas Islands Police Resort (Polres) in Riau Islands Province has activated the 110 emergency service to assist residents during the Idul Fitri homecoming season.
Anambas Islands Police Chief AKBP I Gusti Ngurah Agung Budianaloka stated in remarks received in Natuna on Monday that the Idul Fitri homecoming period is always marked by increased public mobility across various transportation routes, including maritime transport, which serves as the primary access for the archipelago region.
For this reason, Anambas Islands Police Resort has introduced the Polri 110 Call Centre service as a means of reporting and requesting assistance that can be accessed quickly by citizens. The service aims to provide security, comfort and facilitate smooth homecoming travel.
“The 110 Call Centre is a police service prepared to provide convenience to the public in submitting reports or requesting police assistance,” he said.
He explained that the Polri 110 Call Centre service can be accessed free of charge by the public without incurring any call costs.
The service can be utilised in various emergency and non-emergency situations, such as security disturbances, accidents, or other conditions requiring police presence.
According to him, every report received through the 110 Call Centre will immediately be forwarded to the nearest police personnel so that it can be promptly followed up at the incident location.
The service is part of police efforts to support the implementation of Operation Seligi Ketupat 2026, which aims to secure the homecoming season and Idul Fitri celebrations to ensure they proceed safely and peacefully.
Anambas Islands Police Resort has also appealed to citizens to remain cautious during homecoming travel, comply with safety regulations, and ensure that vehicles and transport used are in good condition before travelling.
“With the 110 Call Centre service available, we hope the public will not hesitate to report any incident requiring police presence. This service is free and available 24 hours,” he said.
