Ambassador Faisal Assures Saudi Arabia's Safety, Hajj Schedule for 2026 to Proceed as Planned
The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Indonesia, Faisal Abdullah Al Amoudi, has emphasised that his country remains safe amid the intensifying situation in the Middle East. Faisal assured that the Hajj pilgrimage schedule will proceed as planned.
Faisal made these remarks while welcoming a delegation from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) to his residence in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (16/4/2026). He stressed that Saudi Arabia has always been a secure nation.
“Alhamdulillah, because Saudi Arabia is a safe country. In the past, present, and insyaallah in the future, Saudi Arabia is safe and secure,” said Faisal.
“And once again, the implementation of the Hajj will proceed in accordance with the plans set by the government, and that is the plan we will execute, and up to now, there have been no changes,” he added.
Faisal prayed for the Indonesian Hajj pilgrims who will depart to perform their pilgrimage safely. He also prayed that the Indonesian community’s worship can be maximised.
“And of course, on this occasion, we also pray that the Indonesian Hajj pilgrims who will depart for Hajj this year can perform their pilgrimage safely, comfortably, peacefully, and return to the homeland safely, achieving Hajj mabrur and multiplied rewards for their worship,” he stated.
Also present at the meeting was the Chairman of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Marwan Dasopang. From the MUI side, attendees included MUI General Chairman Anwar Iskandar, Deputy General Chairman Cholil Nafis, Secretary General Buya Amirsyah Tambunan, General Treasurer Misbahul Ulum, Chairman of the MUI Fatwa Division Asrorun Ni’am Sholeh, Chairman of the MUI Dakwah, Education, and Community Empowerment Division Siti Ma’rifah, Chairman of the MUI Infokomdigi Division Masduki Baidlowi, and Deputy Secretary General of the MUI Infokomdigi Division Asrori S Karni.
