Jakarta – Alva has demonstrated strong optimism despite Indonesia’s electric vehicle market entering a new phase without government subsidy support in 2025. Rather than declining, the sales figures for this local electric motorcycle brand are claimed to be showing positive trends as market maturity increases.

Purbaja Pantja, Alva’s Chief Executive Officer, disclosed that the transition period from 2024, the final year of subsidy disbursement, to 2025 has been successfully navigated with strong performance. This demonstrates that the ecosystem being developed is beginning to show market independence.

“Looking at our overall sales compared to 2024, Alva’s sales have actually increased in terms of the number of units we have sold,” Purbaja stated.

Purbaja noted that many consumers are now conducting transactions directly without feeling the need to test units beforehand, indicating that education regarding electric motorcycles has been well absorbed by the wider public.

This achievement is supported by Alva’s successful attainment of the 10,000-unit production milestone in November, with the majority of units absorbed by the market coming from premium categories such as the Alva One XP and Cervo in the price range of 30–40 million rupiah.

With a diverse product portfolio, including the Alva N3 in the 20-million-rupiah class as well as flexible battery leasing options, Alva is confident in establishing electric motorcycles as the primary mode of transport without becoming entirely dependent on government fiscal assistance.
