The SPKLU Centre is designed to provide faster, centralised, and integrated charging services with community activities in public spaces. Director of Retail and Commerce at PT PLN (Persero), Adi Priyanto, stated that the presence of this SPKLU Centre is part of PLN’s efforts to deliver charging services that are increasingly adaptive to public needs. “The SPKLU Centre at Aloha PIK 2 is PLN’s first SPKLU in Banten Province with a centralised concept offering Ultra Fast Charging services. We aim to ensure the public has access to quick, easy, and comfortable charging as electric vehicle usage increases,” Adi said in a written statement on Saturday (9/5/2026). He added that developing SPKLU at strategic locations is crucial for building public trust in electric vehicles. “The SPKLU Centre at the Aloha PIK 2 area demonstrates that electric vehicle infrastructure is now closer to public activities. Charging is no longer a hindrance but part of an experience integrated with lifestyle,” he further remarked. Meanwhile, General Manager of PLN UID Banten, Muhammad Joharifin, explained that technically, the SPKLU Centre is designed to deliver optimal and reliable charging performance. “This SPKLU Centre is equipped with six Ultra Fast Charging units with a power capacity of 120 kW. All available units are Ultra Fast Charging, capable of providing much faster charging times compared to conventional methods,” Joharifin clarified. He added that time efficiency is the main advantage offered by this facility. “With Ultra Fast Charging technology, electric vehicle users only need about 15 to 30 minutes to charge their electric car batteries from 20% to 80% or even full, depending on the vehicle’s battery capacity, thus supporting dynamic user mobility,” he continued. Furthermore, Joharifin emphasised that the choice of location in the Aloha PIK 2 area adds value in terms of customer comfort. “The integration of charging facilities with the lifestyle area provides convenience for customers to continue their activities. This is part of PLN’s efforts to deliver services that are not only reliable but also relevant to public needs,” he stated. To date, PLN has provided 253 SPKLU units spread across 139 locations in Banten Province, as a form of readiness to support the growth of electric vehicles. The presence of this SPKLU Centre further strengthens PLN’s role in providing infrastructure that can meet customer needs more broadly. Through the development of the SPKLU Centre at Aloha PIK 2, PLN continues to promote the transformation of clean energy-based mobility while delivering a new experience in electric vehicle usage that is more practical, fast, and integrated with public activities. For information, the inauguration of this SPKLU Centre was attended by Director of Retail and Commerce at PT PLN (Persero) Adi Priyanto, Tangerang Regent Moch.
