All Police Precincts in Gianyar Offer Vehicle Storage Services for Mudik Travellers
Residents of Gianyar who wish to travel home using public transport no longer need to worry about leaving their private vehicles unattended. All police precinct offices in Gianyar have opened vehicle storage services for mudik travellers.
“Residents who wish to store their vehicles are welcome to do so. Please contact the nearest police precinct office,” said Gianyar Police Chief AKBP Chandra Kesuma to detikBali on Saturday, 14 March 2026.
Chandra urged the public to ensure all valuables, including personal vehicles, are secured before departing for Mudik. Homes left vacant for extended periods pose a significant risk of criminal activity.
He noted that theft cases frequently occur at houses and villas abandoned by their occupants. Consequently, residents remaining in the area are requested to assist in maintaining neighbourhood security.
“Every year, there are homes that fall victim to burglaries. We are looking to prevent that,” Chandra said.
According to Chandra, routine patrols have been conducted regularly over the past several weeks, with patrol intensity set to increase during the Lebaran holiday period in Gianyar.
“It would be best if residents themselves secure all valuable items to prevent theft,” he added.
Blahbatuh Police Precinct Chief Kompol Luh Putu Sri Sumartini stated that travellers can store motorcycles in the forecourt of Blahbatuh Police Precinct office. The yard has capacity for approximately 20 motorcycles.
“Two-wheeled vehicles can be stored in the Blahbatuh Police Precinct forecourt. Vehicle keys and registration documents must be submitted,” Sumartini said.
She clarified that the storage service at Blahbatuh Police Precinct is limited to motorcycles. Space constraints prevent the precinct from accommodating four-wheeled vehicles.
“The Blahbatuh Police Precinct yard does not have sufficient space for car storage,” she explained.
