Jakarta – PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia has partnered with the National Zakat Collection Agency (BAZNAS) of the Republic of Indonesia to conduct skills training for children in care at the Class II Youth Detention Centre (LPKA) in Jakarta.
Akulaku’s Information Technology Director, Edy Salim, explained that the collaboration forms part of the company’s Ramadan 2026 activities, jointly initiated by Akulaku Group and BAZNAS RI.
One of the initiatives implemented during this Ramadan is the provision of screen-printing skills training for the children in care, aimed at equipping them with practical skills that can serve as a foundation for future self-sufficiency.
“This programme represents the company’s commitment to continuously contributing positively to society, particularly through social activities that can deliver tangible impact,” Edy stated on Friday, 13 March 2026.
BAZNAS RI Head of Distribution and Empowerment, Saidah Sakwan, said the initiative forms part of BAZNAS’s efforts to present a Ramadan programme that is not merely consumptive aid but also oriented towards empowerment.
“Through this programme, we aim to bring Ramadan joy whilst providing beneficial skills for their future,” she said.
Meanwhile, BAZNAS RI Head of Empowerment, UPZ Services and CSR, Ajat Sudrajat, explained that the activity forms part of the BAZNAS and Akulaku collaboration in distributing various social programmes during Ramadan.

Head of the Class II Youth Detention Centre in Jakarta, Syaikoni, also expressed appreciation for the attention given to the children in the institution.
“We are very grateful to BAZNAS RI and Akulaku Group for the support and attention given to the children in care at the Jakarta LPKA,” he said.
