JAKARTA — Approximately one million online ride-hailing and courier drivers will receive religious holiday bonuses (BHR) ahead of Eid 2026.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that active two-wheeler drivers will receive an average of 150,000 rupiah. Four-wheeler drivers have the potential to receive up to 200,000 rupiah, depending on their level of activity and application provider policies.
“Active drivers can receive an average of 150,000 rupiah for two-wheelers, and four-wheelers can reach 200,000 rupiah,” he told journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.
The religious holiday bonuses are provided by application companies to online drivers and couriers registered officially with the companies within the previous 12 months.
The distribution of bonuses follows the Ministry of Manpower Circular Letter Number M/4/HK.04.00/3/2026 concerning the provision of religious holiday bonuses for 2026 for drivers and couriers in app-based transport services.
Eight app-based transportation service companies have allocated approximately 220 billion rupiah for religious holiday bonuses this year. This figure represents a two-fold increase compared to last year, which ranged between 105 billion and 110 billion rupiah.
“These holiday bonuses have been implemented through intensive communication with application providers, and thankfully there is a strong commitment from the providers present today. The 2026 religious holiday bonus covers approximately 850,000 to nearly one million beneficiary partners with a total of 220 billion rupiah,” Airlangga explained.
Maxim increased the number of beneficiaries to approximately 51,000 partners, compared to around 1,000 partners last year. inDrive distributed bonuses to approximately 500 driver partners.
The government hopes that the increased value and broader coverage of religious holiday bonuses will strengthen the purchasing power of driver partners and boost consumption ahead of Eid 2026.
