AIDS patients

I quite agree with Dr. Venusri Latif, who said in his recent
article in Pikiran Rakyat that people with AIDS should not be
given lethal injections, or medicine which would lead their
deaths, even it was the wish of the patients.

Medical ethics do not allow doctors to do this. I would like
to suggest that doctors give the people with AIDS spiritual
injections and, if they are Moslem, ask them to perform their
shalat (the five obligatory daily prayers), and continue giving
them medical treatment.
