JAKARTA — Digital transformation is increasingly shaping the face of the national economy. Amid the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI), strengthening literacy is considered a crucial foundation to ensure that Indonesian human resources are not merely consumers of technology but active participants in the digital economy.

Dicoding, together with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK), has launched the online learning platform “Bijak Cerdas Berdigital dan Ber-AI” (Wise and Smart in Digital and AI) as an open learning space for the public to understand AI safely, ethically, and productively. The platform is accessible free of charge at bijakcerdas.dicoding.com.

Data from the APJII 2025 Survey shows that AI adoption rates in Indonesia continue to rise, with Generation Z and millennials being the largest user groups, reaching 66 per cent. This figure reflects significant opportunities for digital economic growth, but also carries risks if not accompanied by adequate understanding.

The free platform targets children, teachers, and parents. Its format comprises microlearning modules and massive open online courses (MOOCs), allowing materials to be studied in stages and with flexibility. The platform is also equipped with a Digital Health Check (Cek Kesehatan Digital/CKD) feature to measure users’ digital proficiency, security awareness, and digital ethics.

Chief Executive Officer of Dicoding, Narenda Wicaksono, said that strengthening AI literacy is part of efforts to prepare national digital talent. Through this digital learning space, Dicoding is focused on reinforcing the foundations of digital and AI literacy for the Indonesian public, with the hope that people will consciously navigate the digital world and AI in a safe, ethical, and responsible manner.

The platform’s launch coincided with the commemoration of Safer Internet Day on 10 February 2026.

The aspiration is for AI literacy not to stop at basic knowledge, but to encourage the emergence of adaptive, productive human resources ready to compete in the digital economy era.
