Ahead of Persib vs Persijap match, West Java Deputy Governor urges the public and Bobotoh to keep conditions conducive
VIVA – Ahead of the final match of the BRI Super League season 2025-2026 between Persib Bandung and Persijap Jepara on Saturday 23 May 2026 at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA), West Java Deputy Governor (Wagub Jabar), Erwan Setiawan, urged the public and Bobotoh to keep the situation conducive so that the title can be won. Bobotoh are welcome to come to GBLA to support Persib. However, the Deputy Governor reminded Bobotoh to look after themselves and the club’s good name. Demonstrate maturity by avoiding actions that could harm themselves or the club. Furthermore, the Deputy Governor added that at the stadium do not light fireworks and flares. They are very dangerous to themselves and others and could result in sanctions for the club. While at the stadium, Bobotoh are also forbidden to come down onto the pitch as this could disrupt the match and endanger themselves and others. Such action could also lead to sanctions for the club. “We hope the final match of the 2025-2026 Super League season between Persib Bandung and Persijap Jepara at GBLA will run smoothly, be successful without incidents and, God willing, Persib will achieve victory,” said West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan after a Coordination Meeting with various stakeholders at Gedung Sate, on Tuesday 19 May 2026. The meeting was led by the West Java Deputy Governor and involved several related parties such as PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB), elements of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian Police (Polri), the Department of Transportation, Satpol PP, the Environmental Service, the Health Service and others. Moreover, Deputy Governor Erwan also warned the public and Bobotoh who do not have tickets not to force themselves to come to the stadium. “If you celebrate the victory, do so with respect. Let us celebrate Persib’s victory with a sense of gratitude and sportiness. Give space to the team and players with positive appreciation,” he said. (LAN)
