Ahead of Nyepi, Bramasta Bali Swamped with Hampers Orders Reaching 3,000 Packages
Bramasta Bali, a Bali-based crafts and ceremonial supplies business in Abianbase, Mengwi, Badung, Bali, has begun to buckle under a surge in hamper orders ahead of Nyepi Day. The owner says orders have started to come in two months before the festival, with demand rising sharply.
‘Orders typically come in two months ahead of the date. The contents vary—some are incense, others cookies, and snacks as well—so we do them by request,’ said Via, owner of Bramasta Bali, at the shop on Sunday, 8 March 2026.
Most customers come from several towns within Bali, dominated by the banking sector, government agencies, and private companies. For individual orders, business usually picks up around one to two weeks before Nyepi.
‘Banks, police, and such. There are also private companies. These are usually long-ordered because a single institution can require 200-400 parcels,’ Via said.
The price of the packages ranges widely, from Rp100,000 to Rp2,000,000 per unit. Although produced in Bali, the goods involve local artisans and inputs shipped from East Java and West Java.
‘The cheapest is Rp100,000, up to Rp2,000,000 as well. It is artisanal—parcels, hampers, and such,’ he explained.
The turnover surge during the festival is claimed to be up to 200 percent higher than on ordinary days. In a festive period, Bramasta Bali can produce thousands of hamper packs with the help of six workers.
‘If you ask about the margin, it’s fairly significant; the difference can be up to 200 percent, and it can reach 2,000-3,000 pieces per festival,’ Via said.
In addition to Nyepi, the business—founded in 2020—also takes orders for Galungan, Kuningan, and New Year. On ordinary days, they continue to operate by providing souvenirs for weddings or three-monthly ceremonies.
‘We do have them; we usually source souvenirs for weddings, for three-monthly ceremonies, and so on. The response is generally positive because most of what we supply are returning customers, and word of mouth helps,’ he concluded.
