Ahead of Economic Growth Release, Rupiah Hits Rp17,405, IHSG Weakens

The Central Statistics Agency will announce the first-quarter economic growth figures for 2026 on Tuesday (5/5/2026) at 11:00 WIB. BPS will also release data on the State of the Indonesian Labour Market in February 2026 and the 2025 Gender Inequality Index.

Meanwhile, the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar on Tuesday morning moved weaker by 11 points or 0.07 percent to Rp17,405 per US dollar from the previous close at Rp17,394 per US dollar.

The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) opened weaker on Tuesday morning by 3.38 points or 0.05 percent to 6,968.57. The group of 45 leading stocks or LQ45 Index fell 0.80 points or 0.12 percent to 673.76.
