Ahead of 31 March Deadline, Pro Bono Tax Assistance Desk Crowded with Taxpayers Filing Annual Tax Returns
Ahead of the 31 March 2026 reporting deadline, taxpayer enthusiasm for filing their Annual Income Tax Notification Letters (SPT Tahunan Pajak Penghasilan Orang Pribadi) has notably increased. This is evident from the crowds at the consultation service desk of the Pro Bono Tax Assistance Post (Posbapao), which is bustling with taxpayers. Based on observations at the site, numerous taxpayers were queuing and filling the open tables at the Posbapao event organised by KOPIJATIGOTA – Pro Bono Tax Advisory in collaboration with WeWork Coworking Space on Monday (30/3). The event, held at WeWork Revenue Tower, 26th Floor, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman No. 52-53, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, provides consultation services along with assistance for filing individual annual SPT via the Coretax system. Tax consultant from RA Consulting, Rahmad Adam, stated that the high number of arriving taxpayers indicates rising awareness of the need to file SPT before the deadline. “Don’t wait for an extension. File your Individual Annual SPT now,” Adam said during the event. He assessed that the presence of Posbapao services offers an effective solution for the public needing direct assistance in filing SPT, particularly for those still facing challenges with the digital system. From field observations, staff were actively assisting taxpayers one by one, from the login process to filling and submitting the SPT. The atmosphere remained orderly despite the high number of visitors. Adam also reminded that as the reporting deadline nears, the potential for system congestion will increase. Therefore, services like Posbapao are an alternative widely utilised by taxpayers to ensure timely filing. To access this service, taxpayers only need to bring documents such as ID card, family card, active email, mobile number, and a laptop or smartphone device. All consultation and assistance services are provided free of charge, making it increasingly attractive for the public to visit the location directly. With this high enthusiasm, Rahmad hopes that more taxpayers can complete their SPT filing obligations on time. “The important thing is to file before 31 March. Even though the government has waived penalties for Individual SPT filings up to April,” he concluded.
