PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara revealed that the allocation of funds for the construction of outlets and the procurement of facilities and infrastructure for the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives has reached IDR 90 trillion. The President Director of Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota, stated that to date, Agrinas has built 30,712 outlets, of which 1,357 have been completed and will soon be operational.

Joao stated that Agrinas had received IDR 200 trillion in funding from the member banks of Himbara (Association of State-Owned Banks) in October 2025. “So far, we have spent approximately IDR 90 trillion,” he said during a press conference at the Agrinas Pangan office, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

According to Joao, the allocated budget also includes the procurement of vehicles for the Merah Putih Kopdes. Agrinas itself imported 105,000 vehicles from India to meet the needs of the Merah Putih Kopdes. The details of the imported vehicles are 35,000 units of 4x4 Mahindra & Mahindra pickup trucks, as well as 35,000 units of 4x4 pickup trucks and 35,000 units of six-wheeled trucks from Tata Motors India.

According to Joao, the procurement of vehicles from India has enabled Agrinas to save up to IDR 46.5 trillion in budget. This is because the price of 4x4 pickup trucks in the country is much higher than the available budget.

Joao is optimistic that 80,000 cooperatives will be completed before the end of 2026. “If we can secure the land quickly, I am confident that we can complete at least 60,000 outlets by the end of August,” he said.

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa previously stated that the financing for the Merah Putih Kopdes comes from loans from the member banks of Himbara. The financing includes the planned import of 105,000 vehicles from India for the operation of the cooperatives.

The loan payments will be paid in installments by the Ministry of Finance using state funds. “So, the Merah Putih Kopdes borrows money from Himbara banks. My responsibility, as the Ministry of Finance, is to pay off the loan in installments of approximately IDR 40 trillion per year for the next 6 years,” said Purbaya during a press conference on the State Budget at the Ministry of Finance office, Jakarta, Monday, February 23, 2026.

Purbaya has released new regulations regarding the allocation of village funds for the Merah Putih Kopdes. The regulation states that 58.3 percent of village funds, or IDR 34.57 trillion, will be allocated to the Merah Putih Kopdes.
