After Kidnapping, Accused One Dumps Bank Branch Head in Prone Position

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The first accused in the alleged kidnapping and murder case of a bank branch head in Jakarta, initialled MIP (37), namely Serka MN, admitted to dumping the victim in a prone position after he was kidnapped and removed from the vehicle. “I immediately pulled him down and placed him in a prone position,” said Serka MN during the accused examination hearing in the alleged kidnapping and murder case of a bank branch head in Jakarta initialled MIP (37) at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, Cakung, East Jakarta, on Tuesday. The Military Prosecutor from the Military Prosecutor’s Office II-07 Jakarta, Captain Chk Citra Dewi Manurung, delved into the accused’s testimony regarding the chronology from when the victim was removed from the vehicle until he was left at the dumping site. In his statement, the accused explained that the victim’s body got caught in the car while being taken out. Serka MN admitted to receiving help from his accomplice to lift the victim’s legs before pulling the body out of the vehicle. After removal, the accused admitted to dragging the victim about two metres from the car before placing him on the ground. The victim was then left in a prone position. Not only that, the accused also revealed efforts to eliminate evidence used in the incident. “The towel was discarded in the car wash area,” Serka MN revealed. During the trial, it was also revealed that before being dumped, the victim had resisted. The accused admitted to kicking the victim because he struggled and his legs were not tied. “I kicked him because he was resisting,” said Serka MN. This confession adds to the series of facts revealed in the trial, including allegations of repeated violence suffered by the victim from the kidnapping process to the dumping. The prosecutor assessed the accused’s testimony as showing systematic actions in treating the victim, from violence inside the car to efforts to eliminate traces after the victim was left. Serka MN also disclosed that his first kick hit the stomach area, while the second kick hit the chest area. The action was done in a crouching position on the car seat, with both legs on the seat. “The left leg hit the stomach area, the right one the chest,” said Serka MN. The accused in the case, namely Serka MN (accused 1), Kopda FH (accused 2), and Serka FY (accused 3), are charged with involvement in the kidnapping accompanied by the murder of MIP.
