Aerowisata offers marketing for hotels
JAKARTA (JP): PT Aerowisata, a subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia,
is now offering worldwide marketing for domestic star-rated
hotels through its international networks.
Aerowisata's president, Ronny Kusuma Hermayanto, told The
Jakarta Post that the company has been operating its new
business, called Aerowisata Associate, since late last year.
"By now, we have signed an agreement for the marketing of the
Ambhara hotel, which is located in South Jakarta," he said during
a gathering at Garuda's headquarters on Thursday evening.
He said that the three-star Ambhara hotel will be marketed
worldwide through Aerowisata's overseas representative offices.
The company, which has links with Utell International, has a
number of overseas representative offices in Singapore, Japan,
France and New York to market its hotels, which are divided into
three categories -- resort, premier and islander.
Aerowisata currently manages Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Sanur
Beach Hotel in Bali; Senggigi Beach Hotel in Lombok, West Nusa
Tenggara; Grand Hotel Preanger in Bandung, West Java, and Hotel
Pusako in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra.
"We are offering our marketing service to hotels wanting to
attract more foreign visitors. Based on contracts, associated
hotels should pay fees to Aerowisata, depending on the number of
visitors brought in by my company's service," he said.
He said his company's new business has good prospects because
there will be more star-rated hotels opening in the country in
the next few years. (icn)
