Fujitsu set to grab more from RI's US$1.9 billion IT market

Fujitsu Indonesia expresses optimism to be able to grab a
significant part of the US$1.9 billion Indonesian IT market in
2007 as the company relies on various world-class products,
including PRIMEPOWER Unix/SPARC Server, PRIMEQUEST Mission-
Critical Server, and PRIMERGY Inter-architecture Server.

"IDC forecasts that the Indonesian Information Technology (IT)
market will grow by 10 percent per annum with a compound annual
growth rate (CAGR) of 10 percent from 2002 to 2007. There are
many companies competing in this sector but only one or two IT
and telecommunication companies are able to provide one-stop end-
to-end solutions like us," said PT. Fujitsu Indonesia (FI)
president director Takafumi Mikuni.

Mikuni admits that the competition in the Indonesian IT market
has been very tough, particularly in hardware products. However,
he believes that healthy competition constitutes a positive
factor for the growth of the Indonesian IT market.

Aside from servers, FI also offers PCs, systems and solutions,
including ETERNUS Storage System, PRO-Ness Enterprise Resource
Planning, and ROMANSY Human Resource Management.

FI says those products have a competitive strength based on
their performance, reliability and scalability, supported by
award-winning Fujitsu technology such as Nano Technology and
Microelectronics Technology.

"The superiority of those products has been proven by various
such as SAP Benchmarks, Oracle Benchmarks, SPE Benchmarks and
TPC-C Benchmarks," said FI's manager for sales and marketing
communication Lina Melinda.

FI celebrated its 10th anniversary in Jakarta early this
month. Attended by over 350 business partners and government
representatives, Mikuni officially announced that FI is a new
corporate name for Japan-based Fujitsu's operations in Indonesia,
replacing the former name PT Fujitsu Systems Indonesia.

"We express our gratitude to all our customers and business
partners. FI will continuously offer comprehensive solutions,
including newly introduced sophisticated award-winning Fujitsu
technology such as Palm Vein Biometric Authentication and Radio
Frequency Identification. We do believe there are infinite
possibilities for us and our customers to grow together," said
Mikuni.
