REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Deputy General Treasurer of BPP Hipmi, Ade Jona Prasetyo, has officially taken the registration form for the position of General Chairman of BPP Hipmi for the 2026–2029 period, on Friday (10/4/2026). This step marks the beginning of the contestation towards the XVIII National Deliberation of Hipmi, scheduled for June 2026.

Jona stated that collecting the form at the BPP Hipmi Secretariat serves as the starting point of his struggle to promote the strategic role of young entrepreneurs at the national level. He views this moment as more than just an organisational leadership transition.

According to Jona, Hipmi needs to take a more active position in supporting the national development agenda, particularly Asta Cita towards Golden Indonesia 2045. “Young entrepreneurs must become the main actors on the Asta Cita stage,” said Jona in his statement on Friday (10/4/2026).

This former Chairman of BPD Hipmi North Sumatra targets Hipmi to become a platform for the economic strength of connected youth, with access to capital, and capable of competing in digital and global markets. He believes the organisation must transform into an ecosystem that encourages collaboration and real business growth.

Jona explained that Hipmi is not just an organisation, but an economic network that must be able to create business circulation, expand capital access, and strengthen collaboration among members. In this way, economic benefits can be directly felt by members and business actors.

He added that Hipmi’s contribution is also important in supporting the national economic growth target of 8 per cent. “Hipmi must become increasingly relevant, productive, and provide real benefits for members, MSMEs, and the wider community,” said Jona.

Jona emphasised the importance of strengthening the economic foundations of cadres through real businesses, healthy investments, and ownership of productive assets. He wants Hipmi’s cadre development not only to produce organisational leaders, but also independent and competitive young entrepreneurs.

In addition, Jona encourages Hipmi members to level up and expand markets to the global level. He considers this step important so that Indonesian young entrepreneurs can enter the global value chain and increase national competitiveness.

“In this way, Hipmi cadres are expected not only to become local business actors, but also to grow as adaptive, standard-compliant young entrepreneurs ready to enter the global value chain,” said Jona.
