Adrianus to have another test

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian Oriental and Pacific Boxing Confederation lightweight champion Adrianus Taroreh faces another fitness test in his bid for a world championship bout.

Adrianus told Antara yesterday that he would fight Osvaldo Garcia of Mexico in a non-title match scheduled for 10 rounds late in November, but promoter Lineke Lolowang had yet to decide on the place for the bout.

Adrianus, who is poised to challenge Japanese World Boxing Association title holder Guzie Nazarov, will receive Rp 10 million (US$4,500), while the Mexican will pocket Rp 7 million. The 28-year-old Indonesian last stopped Thailand's Singtong Nontachai in the third round of their non-title fight in Manado in April. (amd)
