Cadre of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Ade Armando has resigned from PSI. Ade stated that his resignation is for the common good. “Through this press conference, I am announcing my resignation from PSI, yes. There is no conflict between me and PSI, but I am stepping down, in my opinion, for the collective good,” said Ade Armando at the PSI Central Board office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (5/5/2026). Ade mentioned that he has often been the target of attacks from various parties. These attacks are due to the statements and comments he has made. “So far, I have too often become a target because of my statements, my comments, my criticisms towards various parties,” he said. Ade is concerned that what he says could affect PSI’s future. Ade said that the party, led by Chairman Kaesang Pangarep, actually still wants to stay together with him. “The problem, as I said earlier, is that those who must now take responsibility are not just me, because the attacks have been broadened, from attacks on me to also on my friends, including, for example, Ms Grace,” he said. “On the other hand, PSI’s leadership has always said that they are always willing or they are always with me. But it’s not fair if the gentlemen and ladies in PSI also have to bear the consequences of what I say,” he added.
