ADB grant to RI

MANILA (AFP): The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said here
Thursday that it had approved an 850,000-dollar technical
assistance grant to Indonesia to promote private sector
participation in urban development.

The ADB said the grant would be used to strengthen the
capacity of the Indonesian Directorate General of Human
Settlements and other related agencies in seeking private sector
partnerships in areas such as water supply and solid waste.

It will also go to promoting an orderly procurement process
and transparency in the selection of project sponsors, the ADB
said in a statement issued from its headquarters in the
Philippine capital.
