Acting MPR Secretary General Emphasises Objectivity and Integrity of the 2026 Four Pillars LCC
The MPR Secretariat has deactivated the judges as a form of sanction while responding to the dynamics that occurred in the LCC Four Pillars MPR RI West Kalimantan. Meanwhile, other administrative sanctions are still being analysed by the MPR Secretariat to determine if there are elements of violations referring to the applicable regulations.
“For other administrative sanctions, of course, there are their own rules and mechanisms. Today we have just communicated with the MPR RI leadership, so next we will study the applicable rules, including provisions from the BKN, to see if there are elements related to those regulations,” said Siti in her statement on Thursday (14/5/2026).
She conveyed this on the 7th floor of the Nusantara III Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Wednesday (13/5).
Siti also clarified that the judges did not make direct personal statements because their positions represent the institution. Thus, all forms of public communication are the responsibility of the MPR RI Secretariat.
“Regarding the host (MC) who has already issued a public apology, meanwhile the judges have not yet done so directly; it was also discussed earlier that the panel of judges represents the secretariat,” said Siti.
Siti explained that based on the official release issued a few days ago, the apology from the Secretariat essentially already represents the implementation of the event.
Thus, the clarification is conveyed not in a personal capacity, but on behalf of the institutional Secretariat which has directly issued the apology.
Uphold Independence
Siti emphasised that they are still conducting a thorough evaluation to date, particularly regarding on-site technical constraints such as the sound system and other technical aspects.
All factors causing these dynamics will serve as a comprehensive and in-depth lesson.
Siti also stressed that the most important aspect in organising this event is the absence of bias towards any particular school; in this case, it is carried out independently.
“However, it must be emphasised that there is no bias from the panel of judges. We ensure that the process is carried out without any partiality whatsoever,” said the first woman to serve as Secretary General of the MPR RI.
Meanwhile, regarding the decision to re-hold the final competition, it will take place in May 2026, with the exact date still under consideration.
“It is aimed to be still within this month. However, the implementation date will be further coordinated, because the re-competition must be prepared to the same standards as the previous one, from the stage to all supporting equipment for the event. We want everything to be resolved properly as soon as possible,” said Siti.
The composition of the judges will also involve academics, including from West Kalimantan, and will even be monitored and supervised directly by the MPR RI leadership.
“Thank you. We request support from all parties so that the entire process can run smoothly,” she concluded.
