Accusations Against Cabinet Secretary Are Mere Personal Slander

Jakarta – The Chairman of Pasbata, David Febrian, has responded to the proliferation of attacks directed at Cabinet Secretary Tedi Indra Wijaya. He assesses that the circulating accusations are illogical and no longer constitute healthy criticism, but have veered into unfounded personal slander. According to David, the pattern of recent attacks reflects the impasse of certain parties in seeking openings to assault the government. “These accusations are already illogical and actually demonstrate desperation. Why desperate? Because they are confused about which angle to attack the government from anymore, so negative issues are fabricated and forced,” David stated in a press release in Jakarta on Tuesday (5/5/2026). According to him, such narratives are deliberately steered to shape misleading public opinion. “The goal is clear: to build a negative perception among the public without a strong foundation. This is not criticism, but an irresponsible framing effort,” he said.
