Accor to open new hotels

JAKARTA (JP): Accor Asia Pacific Corporation, which operates
hotels worldwide, will expand its Indonesian network to eight
hotels by opening six new ones next year.

The company, which has a network of 2,300 hotels in 135
countries, announced here yesterday that one of the new
Indonesian hotels -- Novotel Benoa Bali -- will open in the
middle of next year.

Accor said that it had signed a contract with Kaestindo Group
to manage the 200-room hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali.

The other five hotels that are due to be opened next year are
Novotel Soechi Medan in North Sumatra, Novotel Jambi in Jambi,
Novotel Toraja in South Sulawesi, Novotel Manado in North
Sulawesi and Novotel Batam in Riau. The two hotels already in
operation are Novotel Surabaya in East Java and Novotel
Bukittinggi in West Sumatra. (13)
