A joint team enforced regulations on several street vendor (PKL) stalls and illegal two-wheeled vehicle parking along Jalan Serdang 1, Serdang Baru Raya, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (8/4). This firm action was taken because their presence disrupts accessibility to the healthcare facility.

Kemayoran Sub-District Head Dicky Suherlan stated that the enforcement in RW 05 was a follow-up to community reports complaining about hindered mobility for ambulances and patients.

“We are enforcing the PKL stalls and illegal parking in RW 05. This enforcement stems from residents’ complaints as vehicle access to RSUD Kemayoran is blocked,” said Dicky during the enforcement activity on Wednesday (8/4).

Enforcement of the Public Order Regional Regulation

In this operation, Head of the Kemayoran Sub-District Satpol PP Bronson Sitompul explained that they deployed around 80 joint personnel consisting of elements from Satpol PP, police, and military. The enforcement also involved local apparatus such as RT, RW, LMK, and FKDM.

“We are implementing Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 8 of 2007 on public order,” Bronson emphasised.

Field officers combed through and secured various business facilities violating the rules. All evidence items will be further processed according to applicable procedures.

“Bronson said the officers enforced carts, umbrellas, benches, and trading equipment. All were taken to the Kemayoran Sub-District office and will later be transported to the Satpol PP warehouse in Cakung, East Jakarta,” he added.

Tipiring Sanctions and Routine Patrols

In addition to seizure of goods, the violating traders will also face legal sanctions to provide a deterrent effect. Officers have conducted identity data collection for those caught in the operation.

“We took the traders’ ID cards, which we secured; later, the traders will undergo a minor criminal offence trial (tipiring),” said Bronson.

To ensure the location remains free from public order disturbances post-enforcement, Satpol PP will conduct intensive periodic supervision.

“We will carry out regular patrols to prevent the enforced location from being reoccupied by PKL and illegal parking,” he concluded.
