ABRI and marriage

From Jayakarta

If we really pay attention to television advertisements, we will feel that some of them are insulting. The one that says: Ogah ah jadi temanten Jawa -- Wedding ceremony in Javanese costume? No way. This is obviously insulting the Javanese community. Therefore, the ad should be worded as follows: I by no means wish to wed. Why should they add the word Javanese, an ethnic sentiment?

Also the ad for Brisk hair cream says: Kamu mau masuk AKABRI, jangan dipotong rambutmu, sayang (You're enlisting? Don't have your hair cut, you've got luxurious hair. Is this not underestimating the Armed Forces? How can one possibly refuse a hair cut when being admitted into the Military Academy? Instead one should fulfill all requirements for a candidate of such a prestigious school.
