An inspection by detikcom at the location on Saturday (16/5/2026) showed that the JIS station building is clearly visible. The long platforms are now standing firmly with a uniformly covered roof.

This station is located right next to Jalan RE Martadinata, North Jakarta, and is adjacent to the JIS.

The supporting pillars of the station are painted green, while the platform floor is still a basic grey.

The entrance to the station is also fully constructed, with a roof and supporting pillars painted grey. The fence at the station entrance has also been installed.

Similarly, the access stairs that will directly connect the station to the JIS are also in place, with the roof, safety railings, and metal walls already installed.

From a distance, workers can be seen continuing to work on completing the remaining parts of the JIS station so that it can operate and be fully completed.

Previously, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, confirmed that the construction of the JIS is in its final stages. After discussions with PT KAI, the new station is targeted for completion in May and will begin operating in June 2026.

“We just finished a meeting with the President Director of KAI and his team. The JIS is expected to be completed in May and will be operational in June,” said Pramono during an inspection of the Ancol Pump, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/4).

Pramono said that the finalization with KAI not only concerns the JIS station but also several other transportation projects, including the completion of the MRT network, the development of the Kota Tua area, and plans for a 16-kilometer electric railway line.

“It’s not just the JIS station that has a KRL line. We also discussed other things, including the MRT and Kota Tua,” he said.

He explained that the electric railway line will stretch from Rawajati to Tanjung Priok, which is expected to facilitate the mobility of Jakarta residents.

“The 16-kilometer electric train from Rawajati to Tanjung Priok will significantly help improve transportation,” he added.

In addition, the DKI Provincial Government and KAI also discussed the integration of three important stations in the city center: Dukuh Atas, BNI City, and Karet. Pramono ensured that the coordination process is running smoothly.

“Including the Dukuh Atas, BNI City, and Karet stations, which we will integrate. This will be done soon,” he said.
