Jakarta (ANTARA) - PTPN III (Persero) subholding PTPN IV PalmCo has affirmed that compliance with global and national sustainability standards remains on track, even though nearly all of its crude palm oil production is absorbed by the domestic market.

Company data up to 2025 shows that 2.7 million tonnes of crude palm oil (CPO), or approximately 99 per cent of PalmCo’s production, is marketed domestically to support national supply security.

“Although our products are intended for domestic needs, operational quality and our sustainability commitment must remain at the highest global standards,” said PTPN IV PalmCo President Director Jatmiko K Santosa in a statement issued in Jakarta on Thursday.

He stressed that the company’s domestic market orientation does not diminish its commitment to sustainable business practices.

Jatmiko emphasised that sustainability certification is not merely a market requirement but forms part of transparent and accountable corporate governance.

“This certification is not simply a label; it reflects governance and transparency,” he said.

For the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) standard, PalmCo reports that 67 of its 71 palm oil mills, or approximately 94.36 per cent, have been certified, whilst in the upstream sector 124 of 149 plantations, or 83.22 per cent, hold the certification.

Similar achievements are evident in compliance with Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO), the mandatory national standard, with 68 of 71 mills, or 95.77 per cent, and 136 of 149 plantations, or 91.27 per cent, declared compliant.
