844 State-Owned Enterprises Officially Join Danantara
JAKARTA - Head of the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) Rosan Pekasa Roeslani said that 844 State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), including their subsidiaries and sub-subsidiaries, have officially joined Danantara.
Rosan said hundreds of state-owned companies officially joined Danantara as of 21 March 2025.
"After the President launched it on 21 March 2025, all BUMN (subsidiaries and business units) totalling 844 have officially become part of Danantara," Rosan said during the Danantara Town Hall at the Jakarta Convention Center on Monday, 28 April.
Rosan, who also serves as Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, assessed that Danantara was established at precisely the right time. In conditions of uncertainty driven by trade wars and geopolitical tensions, all countries must become self-reliant through their own economic potential.
"This condition has made many nations around the world realise that we must rely on our own economic strength. We cannot depend on the external economic power of others or other nations," he explained.
According to Rosan, Danantara is a concrete manifestation of the government's commitment to maintaining Indonesia's economic growth in the future.
"So we must harness this collective strength, so that we become a greater and more independent country," he said.
