782 Hajj pilgrims from Pamekasan fall into high-risk category
Pamekasan (ANTARA) - Of the total 1,384 prospective Hajj pilgrims from Pamekasan Regency, East Java, who will perform the Hajj this year, 782 fall into the high-risk category and require special assistance from the Hajj organising committee. “This data on high-risk prospective Hajj pilgrims comes from examination reports at various community health centres across Pamekasan Regency,” said the Head of the Pamekasan Health Department (Dinkes), Saifudin, in Pamekasan on Tuesday. He explained that the high-risk pilgrims are mostly elderly and suffer from comorbidities such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus. “We have submitted the data on these high-risk pilgrims to the committee so that they can receive special attention in various aspects, particularly health service facilities and monitoring from the medical team on duty,” he said. “Those in the high-risk category will receive special attention from both the organising committee and the medical personnel on duty,” he added. This year’s 1,384 pilgrims from Pamekasan Regency are divided into four flight groups (kloter): Kloter 73 with 309 people, Kloter 74 with 325 people, Kloter 75 with 376 people, and Kloter 76 with 374 people.
