Jakarta (ANTARA) - Bank Jakarta, together with PWI Jaya, PMI of DKI Jakarta Province, and the DKI Jakarta CSR Forum, held a blood donation event at Bank Jakarta’s head office as part of the 65th anniversary celebrations.

Bank Jakarta’s President Director, Agus H. Widodo, stated that this blood donation activity is part of the company’s commitment to strengthening social care while delivering real benefits to the community.

“This blood donation is a manifestation of Bank Jakarta’s social concern for the community. At the age of 65, we want this celebration to have a broader impact, not just ceremonial, but also to bring direct benefits through humanitarian actions,” Agus said in a written statement in Jakarta on Saturday.

According to him, the synergy with PWI Jaya, PMI of DKI Jakarta Province, and the DKI Jakarta CSR Forum serves as an example of positive collaboration between the business world, professional organisations, and social institutions in supporting community needs.

He also hopes that this activity can help meet blood needs in hospitals and for the community in need.

“This is also part of the collaborative spirit that we continue to build,” he said.

Social activities such as blood donation will continue to be part of Bank Jakarta’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. This aligns with Bank Jakarta’s transformation, which is not only business-oriented but also has social responsibilities.

Meanwhile, PWI Jaya Chairman, Kesit B. Handoyo, expressed appreciation for the collaborative initiative initiated by Bank Jakarta with its partners.

According to him, this activity demonstrates shared concern for humanitarian issues that require the involvement of many parties.

The blood donation event was attended by Bank Jakarta employees, PWI Jaya members, CSR partners, and the general public on Friday (24/4).
