Kupang, NTT (ANTARA) - The Regional Office of the Directorate General of the Treasury for East Nusa Tenggara Province (Kanwil DJPb NTT) records that 6,036 business units in NTT have accessed ultra micro credit (UMi) facilities from January to February 2026. “The total UMi financing disbursement as of 28 February 2026 amounts to Rp35.20 billion for 6,036 debtors,” said the Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of the Treasury for East Nusa Tenggara Province, Adi Setiawan, in Kupang on Tuesday. He conveyed this in relation to the progress of UMi credit disbursement to support the economic activities of NTT residents at the beginning of 2026. He mentioned that PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) is the largest UMi distributor with a value of Rp25.03 billion for 4,314 debtors. Meanwhile, the lowest UMi disbursements were recorded in Rote Ndao Regency at Rp0.48 billion and Central Sumba Regency at Rp0.16 billion. He also stated that the wholesale and retail trade sector still dominates disbursements with a 81.87% share, followed by the health services and social activities sector with a 7.48% share of the total disbursement. Meanwhile, the total People’s Business Credit (KUR) disbursement in January-February 2026 amounts to Rp483.0 billion for 9,455 debtors, growing by Rp58.23 billion or 13.7% (year-on-year/yoy). The micro KUR scheme dominates at Rp350.43 billion for 8,937 debtors, with the wholesale and retail trade sector accounting for 47.17%. The government, according to Adi, continues to encourage more inclusive KUR and UMi disbursements by reaching potential sectors in NTT, such as agriculture, livestock, marine, and fisheries.
