580 students to be expelled

SEMARANG, Central Java: Diponegoro University will expel 580
students whose study time has expired.

Deputy rector Soedarsono said that the students entered 10
years ago, twice the average time needed for most students to
graduate, and yet had failed to finish their courses.

Soedarsono did not say when the students will be formally
expelled.

Last year the university expelled 162 students for the same
