548,336 Vehicles Have Returned to Jakarta
PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded 548,336 vehicles from the eastern regions of the Trans-Java Toll returning to Jakarta via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate during the period of 21-28 March 2026. This figure represents an increase of 146.24% compared to normal traffic conditions, which stand at 222,683 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading towards the eastern Trans-Java region via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate totalled 282,949, up 22.93% from the normal 230,168 vehicles. “Based on traffic data from H-10 to H+7 of Eid (11-28 March 2026), a total of 724,401 vehicles from the eastern Trans-Java region were recorded, an increase of 45.42% compared to normal traffic of 498,128 vehicles,” said Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, quoted from an official statement on Monday (30/03/2026). Meanwhile, in the first shift data on 29 March 2026, 22,088 vehicles were recorded, an increase of 197.84% from normal traffic of 7,416 vehicles. “This data indicates that the return flow from the eastern Trans-Java region is still ongoing,” Ria explained. To anticipate the vehicle surge, JTT operated 22 transaction lanes at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. This measure accompanies the implementation of traffic engineering in the form of one-way local upper discretion by the Police from KM 263 of the Pejagan-Pemalang Toll Road section to KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road section. “In addition, JTT through PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang provides an alternative route for road users by applying a 23% toll discount for all transactions on the Batang-Semarang Toll Road section, valid until 31 March 2026,” Ria stated. Increases in vehicle volume also occurred on several toll road sections in Central Java and East Java. At the Kalikangkung Toll Gate, vehicles leaving Semarang totalled 364,912, up 202.94% from normal conditions. Meanwhile, vehicles heading to Semarang reached 151,833, up 18.14%. At the Banyumanik Toll Gate, traffic towards Jakarta was recorded at 378,841 vehicles, an increase of 156.39%. Vehicles heading to Solo reached 255,416, up 38%. For the East Java region, at the Warugunung Toll Gate, 242,564 vehicles headed to Jakarta, up 60.06%. Meanwhile, vehicles heading to Surabaya totalled 270,597, an increase of 67.94%. At the Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate, 299,946 vehicles headed to Surabaya, up 51.31%, and 280,569 to Malang, up 47.96%. Meanwhile, at the Singosari Toll Gate, vehicles heading to Surabaya were recorded at 164,932, up 62.48%, and towards Malang at 154,374, an increase of 40.16%. JTT urges toll road users to prioritise safety, plan their journeys well, and ensure that vehicles and drivers are in prime condition. In addition, road users are asked to ensure sufficient fuel and electronic money balance before travelling.
