40 Books by Deputy Police Chief Dedi Prasetyo Officially Registered for Intellectual Property Protection
Deputy National Police Chief (Komjen) Dedi Prasetyo has published 40 book titles throughout his policing career. These works have now been officially registered as Intellectual Property Rights (HAKI) with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) under the Ministry of Law.
“We are firmly committed to promoting literacy interest. Because these books are about policing, we hope they can provide insight, increase knowledge and enable every member who reads them to translate that knowledge into professional actions,” said Komjen Dedi on Monday (16 March 2026).
Komjen Dedi’s dozens of published works span nine fields of knowledge: public security and order (kamtibmas) and security strategy; terrorism, radicalism and transnational crime; police human resources, meritocracy and education; food security and national development; policing science; environment and disaster management; public health and pandemic response; oversight, audit and governance; and cultural and national identity matters.
“Modern policing can no longer rely solely on legal authority and organisational strength. Rather, it must be grounded in scientific knowledge,” said Komjen Dedi.
Raja Grafindo, the publisher, presented the certificate to Komjen Dedi at the National Police Headquarters on Trunojoyo Street, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. The 40 books cover topics including police discretion in arresting terror suspects, functional position meritocracy in police human resources, forest fire mitigation strategies, food security, counterterrorism and deradicalisation efforts, human trafficking, restorative justice, technology in modern security, recruitment and meritocracy, and democratic policing approaches. His works address contemporary challenges including pandemic management, election security, natural resource management, women and child protection in the digital era, and building excellent human resources for Indonesia’s future development.
