A total of 39 families were affected by this fire. This data will serve as the basis for discussing the compensation scheme for the victims. “It consists of 35 families from Bekasi City residents and 4 families from outside Bekasi City,” Maka said. Currently, the affected residents are evacuating to relatives’ or neighbours’ homes because their residences are no longer habitable. Nevertheless, the situation at the incident site is already safe. Some have been allowed to go home and receive outpatient care. Maka assured that the sub-district government will continue to monitor the handling of this case until the victims receive their rights, including compensation.
