InJourney Airports is preparing 37 airports to manage the flow of holiday travellers during Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, or 2026 in the Gregorian calendar.

InJourney Airports will also establish holiday transport service posts across all airports it operates from 13 to 30 March 2026.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer of InJourney Airports Achmad Syahir stated that the dozens of airports have been prepared to anticipate the surge in passengers during the holiday travel period.

The company has also deployed staff and ensured the readiness of service facilities throughout airport areas, including smooth access for vehicles to the departure terminals.

“All facilities and staff have been mobilised,” he added.

At the beginning of the holiday travel period, approximately 498,000 passengers are expected to move through the airports, representing about 3,357 aircraft movements.

According to Syahir, the peak outbound travel is estimated to occur on 15 March 2026, whilst the return travel is predicted to take place on 28 March 2026.

Meanwhile, the two largest airports operated by InJourney—Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang and I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali—are expected to be the busiest airports during the Eid holiday travel period.

According to Syahir, the number of passengers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is predicted to reach approximately 179,000 during peak outbound travel.

“For Bali, on Saturday 14 March there will be approximately 67,000 passengers, and on 28 March there will be approximately 73,000 passengers for the return travel,” he said.

Chief Executive Officer of PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (InJourney) Maya Watono stated that the Eid holiday period is also expected to drive an increase in domestic tourism movements.

She noted that the surge in traffic has been anticipated, including at airports and hotels within the company’s ecosystem.

“We have anticipated this passenger surge across our various destinations. Hotel occupancy will certainly increase, particularly as we focus on the domestic market,” Maya said.
