240 Occupational Safety and Health Committees Receive Awards from Banten Governor
Serang (ANTARA) - As many as 240 companies with occupational safety and health (K3) committees and 78 companies concerned with HIV/AIDS received the Occupational Safety and Health Committee (P2K3) and Workplace HIV/AIDS Prevention Handling awards from the Governor of Banten. The awards in silver, gold, and platinum categories were presented by Banten Governor Andra Soni to company representatives during the K3 month activities, which ran from 12 January to 12 February 2026. “This is part of the collaboration between the government, the business world, and workers to create a healthy work environment. Because we know that with guaranteed K3, their productivity will increase,” said the Head of the Banten Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office, Septo Kalnadi, in Serang on Friday. Septo stated that the awards were given by the Governor of Banten to companies for their commitment to fostering occupational health and safety within the company environment. “The categories depend on the scores from the K3 fostering assessment,” said Septo. In addition to safety, Septo emphasised the importance of occupational health. With a healthy work environment, workers can be assured of avoiding HIV/AIDS. “Therefore, it is important to create a healthy work environment,” said Septo. Previously, Banten Governor Andra Soni urged business actors operating in the province to prioritise occupational safety and health. With guaranteed safety and health, work productivity will increase further. Andra Soni stated this when presenting the Occupational Safety and Health Committee (P2K3) awards and Workplace HIV/AIDS Prevention Handling, held at the Banten Governor’s Pendopo, KP3B, Serang City, on Wednesday (22/4). In addition to handing over several awards, on that occasion Governor Andra Soni also distributed compensation from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan for workplace accidents that occurred in several companies. The compensation was given to heirs such as Mrs Rohilah from Cilegon City, Maemunah from Tangerang Regency, and Samsidi from Tangerang City, with varying amounts.
